Jotted Notes and Thoughts 2/24/24
When I see the Statue of Liberty and read the beautiful poem, I say this with a tender heart. When one seeks asylum, they’re seeking appreciation. They’re seeking the mercy of their situation, unlike the person who is strictly seeking citizenship. For those seeking the humanity of their cause must also open their eyes to those committing crimes on what seems an ethical probation. Although it is a few bad apples, we have to realize there are some that don’t deserve the privilege.
